Every year on the 15th of August the reenactment of the return of the locals from exile in foreign lands is played.
Two rows of boats from the castle and Pavloukes, fantastically decorated with Venetian lamps, move towards the port, where they are greeted by a plethora of fireworks.

Included every year during the festivities, is the carrying of the portrait of Mother Mary (on the 6th of August) from the Holy Apostles to the little church on the small island.
The portrait of "Panagopoula the Guider" connected with the moving of the inhabitants of Parga from their original position at the foot hills of Petzovolio to the vicinity of the castle.
